When I began teaching in 2009, I was overwhelmed creating lessons and activities for my classroom. A few months in, a colleague told me I should use google to find a PowerPoint for class. It was such a relief to not have to create everything from scratch.
My goal is to alleviate that stress from another's teacher's life by providing access to lessons I have created or found online.
I began teaching in the fall of 2009. Since then I have taught 6th grade science, 6th grade math, 8th grade science, and high school Earth Systems.
I currently teach high school Physics and Astronomy.
I love to experience science outside my classroom at any opportunity. I have spent several weeks at the UGA Marine Institute on Sapelo Island, a week at the National Weather Service Training Center, a couple weekends with the American Association of Variable Star Observers, and more. Most recently I attended a workshop to become a NASA/AAPT Space Physics Ambassador.
